Shabby Chic Circus Fun

I had so much fun making this card!! I love the color combination of orange and hot pink and the latest Stampin' Up! Designer Paper is right-up my alley... Now, I have to admit that I made this card for the Mojo Monday challenge last week and then my 4 year-old got sick and I never got to post it--DRAT!! Oh well, there's always next time :-)

Recipie~
I began with "Raspberry Lemonade" DP from Stampin' Up! --and you just can't go wrong with it!! I stamped the Elephant image from Animal Stories and mounted it on the purple dottd paper...Next, I used more DP for a strip of distressed orange--a fun shabby touch made with paper instead of ribbon! Primas with Dew Drop centers and distress inking finish off the front. The sentiment is from SU's "Short & Sweet" set and is stamped on the same distressed orange DP and framed with SU's Hodgepodge Hardware. Inside, a fun "ball" awaits, courtesy of Circle Circus...such a sweet, shabby card in bright summer colors!!!

Just for Fun-- Funky Elephant

I just LOVE all the new Stampin' Up! goodies...the catalog, the new "In Colors", the new sets, the Designer Papers, "OH MY"...my wish list a GINORMOUS :-)
Fun Inspiration~
I came across some old pics of my Grandmother on a trip to Morocco--kinda random, I know. I've wanted to scrapbook those pics for years and just never had any inspiration. Until now!! The new "In Colors" are amazing...Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango, and Crushed Curry combine with the Circle Circus and Animal Stories sets to make a fun card with an "EXOTIC" feel. I made 5 scrapbook layouts for my Grandmother's scrapbook--whoo hoo! This card was made with the leftover 'scraps' and it is so much fun!
Recipie~
I used a base of white card stock to which I added a layer of Dusty Durango paper, and two layers of the yellow in the Raspberry Lemonade DP from Stampin' Up!. Then I cut 3 squares of the Raspberry dot paper, mounted white cardstock and stamped the Elephant (Animal Stories) in Dusty Durango and the Circles (Circle Circus) in Rich Razzleberry. The inside of the card has a few more fun circles and some DP to tie it in, and the final touch was some shimmery ribbon from Maya Road. This card makes me smile every time I look at it!

Happy Birthday Matey!!!

Well, after a long couple of weeks with friends and family visiting, I am super-giddy that I have my tiny slice of 'crafting time' back!! First up, a fun creation with another of Sally Ann's digital stamps from Digi-Stamp Boutique. I love this image because it reminds me of my son, Reilly. He's been a pirate for the last 2 Halloween's, and any time he can get his hands on that costume, it's all about eye-patches and sword fights (nerf swords, of course!!.) So this is a perfect card for his special day....I used Pirate Josh on white card stock and a scalloped rectangle nestie. I mounted this on navy Bazzill paper, more white and some fun Bo Bunny "Forget Me Knot" paper. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's new "Teeny Tiny Wishes" and it's mounted on the FAB new "Modern Label Punch"--also from SU. I finished the card off with some funky red ribbon, 3 Dew Drops and a piece of Bazzill Bling in Turquoise. The image is colored with Copics and the sword sparkles with an application of Copic Spica in Clear.

Stampin' Up! Classic--Flamingos !!

Well, it's only Thursday and I've completed 4 cards this week and entered 2 Card/Sketch Challenges. Did I mention, my first EVER challenges--whoo hoo!! My last card for today was irresistible...pink flamingos and summer just go together. Inspired by the Mojo Monday Challenge on SCS, I paired Stampin' Up! DP's (Raspberry Tart/Bella Rose) with on old fav..."Tickled Pink" for a fun birthday card for my sister-in-law.
Colored with Copics, the flamingo is accented with Pearlescent Chalks and shimmers beautifully. Inside, a trio of birds are hiding for a fun splash of color, too. I can't wait to send this card :-)

Mojo Monday Challenge: "Jaina Fairy"

I had tons of fun with this card, designed for the SCS Mojo Monday Challenge (my first time trying a SCS Challenge!!!)...particularly because it forced me out of my A2-sized habit. I really like the length of the card and making a custom envie was fun, too. I used one of my FAV stamps from Paper Makeup, titled "Jaina Fairy" and paired it with some Stampin' Up! Designer papers (Bella Rose and Raspberry Tart.) Jaina is colored with Copic Markers, set on a duo of nestie-cut panels and 'popped ' with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Stamps, the flowers are from Prima, and the ribbon and other embellies are from my stash. Inside, a surprise image of a fairy wand (Taylored Expressions) completes this cute card. Did I mention that I LOVE fairies???

Digi Stamp Fun: "Scuba Josh"

I'm on a boy theme this month...which is perfect for Father's Day :-) I just LOVE the digi-images sold at the Digi-Stamp Boutique (formerly Grab-a-Doodle-Doo). And you can't go wrong with Sally-Ann's wonderful customer service. I have submitted this card for the PaperTake Weekly challenge !!This card is my 1st in a series of 'boyz' cards for my sons...of which I have 4!! No wonder I tend to make 'guy' cards all the time--Ha!!
'Scuba Josh' was printed on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Sketch Markers. I used some FAB "Mango Shimmer" cardstock from The Paper Company for the card base, Bazzill Bling in Chocolate & Gold, and paired it with my fav Surfboard Paper from Treehouse memories. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!

CPS Challenge: "Dude!"

I am so excited...I've entered my 1st Card Challenge ever!! Card Positioning Systems had a sketch challenge that caught my eye and I decided to enter with my current fav stamp for summer. Titled "Dude" by Paper Makeup Stamps, this card features a darling fairy boy surfing.
I LOVE fairies, and this cute stamp is right up-my-alley. I love the summery colors and the fun surfing theme. Bazzill 'Bling' in turquoise, paired with a FAB surfboard themed paper by Treehouse Memories made a fun summer combo. I used nesties and ribbon from Maya Road. The image is colored with Copic Sketch markers and the sentiment is from Memory Box. Too fun!!
